A dashboard is only useful if the person looking at it can act on what they see. That is the thinking behind our community data literacy workshops: free, half-day sessions where we sit down with local health workers and walk through the exact dashboards built from the data they themselves helped collect.
We keep the format simple — real numbers from their own facility, printed charts next to the live dashboard, and plenty of time for questions. Most participants have never been shown what happens to the forms they fill out every day, and that gap is worth closing.
It is a small investment that pays off in a big way: teams who understand their own data ask better questions, spot errors sooner, and trust the research process a great deal more. If your organization would like to host a workshop, get in touch through our community page.
